Reserve Deputy Program

Boundary County Sheriff's Office Reserve Deputies are citizens who volunteer their time to the community. They perform many of the same duties that paid deputies perform, including responding to 911 calls, making traffic stops and working in the jail.

All reserve deputies must attend the Reserve Academy that provides the candidate with 162-hours of stringent classroom training. After graduating the academy, a Reserve Deputy will continue to receive on-going training while working at the Sheriff's Office.

Those interested in becoming a Reserve Deputy are encouraged to call (208) 267-3151 or stop by.
