NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Boundary County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold public hearing at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010, in the Main Courtroom at the Boundary County Courthouse to accept public comment on application 10-019 by Fred and Nadine Scharf,who are seeking a variance to allow reduced parcel size in the Agriculture/Forestry zone district on property located on Settlers Lane.

Specifically, the applicants are seeking to divide an approximately 17-acre parcel located along the Kootenai River in Sections 30 and 31 in Section 62 North, Range 3 East,  located at 307 Settlers Lane, Moyie Springs, into two parcels five acres and twelve acres in size due to the slope of the land toward the river. The minimum parcel size in the zone is 10-acres.

The deadline for written comment and material is 5 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010. Written comment may be mailed to Boundary County Planning and Zoning, PO Box 419, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805, faxed to (208) 267-1205, or emailed to planning@boundarycountyid.org. Written comment will be accepted at public hearing provided the material is read into the record. There may be a five (5) minute limit per person on verbal testimony.
