NOTICE OF CONTINUANCE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Boundary County Commissioners will continue public hearing on application 10-010 by Carbo Trading Company at 9 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2010, in commission chambers at the Boundary County Courthouse. The initial hearing June 7 was tabled to allow consultation with county civil attorneys. While the hearing was closed to public comment, it could be reopened during continuation at the discretion of county commissioners. The period for acceptance of written material remains closed.
The applicant is seeking to amend the zoning on property described as Tax 41, Section 6, Township 60 North, Range 1 East, parcel number RP60N01E064500A, located at 242 Blue Lake Road, Naples, from agriculture/forestry to rural community/commercial, to allow the continued operation of and improvements to Blue Lake RV Park and Campgrounds. The planning and zoning commission has recommended the application be approved.

DECISION/MOTION: Motion to approve recommend that the application be approved as presented made by member Dan Studer, seconded by member Steve Shelman and carried with three members voting “aye,” and one vote “nay.”
OVERVIEW: The applicant is seeking to amend the zoning on 21-acre parcel RP60N01E064500A from agriculture/forestry to Rural Community/Commercial to allow continued use and possible expansion of Blue Lake RV Park, a use that is grandfathered.

Property posted April 9. In addition to eleven surrounding property owners, notices were also sent to Cabinet Mountain Water, Panhandle Health District, Northern Lights, Idaho Department of Transportation and South Boundary Fire.

FINDINGS: In considering this application, the Boundary County Planning and
Zoning Commission did find:
1.The parcel has been used commercially as an RV
Park since prior to the adoption of the zoning ordinance
2.The nature of the
proposed amendment is in compliance with the Boundary County Comprehensive
Plan.
3.The nature of the proposed amendment is compatible with surrounding
zone district designations and uses.
4.Approval of this amendment will not
materially detrimental to the public welfare nor injurious to property or
improvements in the vicinity, nor will it have adverse impact on the delivery of
public services.
