NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Boundary County Commissioners will hold public hearing at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2010, in commission chambers at the Boundary County Courthouse to accept public comment on application 10-006 by Dennis and Linda Lamphere, who are seeking to amend the zoning on a 5.5-acre parcel located between Highway 2 and Maas Loop.
Specifically, the applicants are seeking to rezone parcel RP62N02E170611A, located at 340 Maas Loop, from its current rural residential zoning to rural community/commercial zoning to allow establishment of commercial use. The planning and zoning commission has recommended the application be denied.
The deadline for written comment and material is 5 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010. Written comment may be mailed to Boundary County Planning and Zoning, PO Box 419, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805, faxed to (208) 267-1205, or emailed to planning@boundarycountyid.org. Written comment will be accepted at public hearing provided the material is read into the record. There may be a five (5) minute limit per person on verbal testimony.

RECOMMENDATION/MOTIONS: To forward to County Commissioners a recommendation that application 10-006 be disapproved. Motion to disapprove made by member Dan Studer failed for lack of second. Motion by member Matt Cossalman to recommend approval, seconded by member Steve Shelman, fell by a vote of 3-2 with five members present; tie broken by chairman Rod Barcklay.
OVERVIEW: The applicant is seeking to amend the zoning of 5.55-acre parcel RP62N02E170611A from rural residential to rural community/commercial to allow establishment of commercial enterprise.

Notices mailed to surrounding property owners February 25. Property posted March 10. In addition to 18 surrounding property owners, notices were also sent to Three Mile Water Association, City of Moyie Springs, Boundary County Road and Bridge, Panhandle Health District, Idaho Department of Transportation and City of Bonners Ferry Electric.
