The Details:

Date: Saturday, June 13, 2009 – 9:00 AM Pacific daylight saving start time.

Course: 5K (3.1 mile) and 10K (6.2 mile) courses in and around the city of Bonners Ferry.  Both courses start and finish at the fairgrounds, which is 4 blocks west of downtown.

Cost: $17.00 ($21.00 Canadian) with T-shirt, $10.00 ($12.00 Canadian) without T-shirt.

Net proceeds will be used to provide deserving local student runners with college scholarships and to help  support the Bonners Ferry High School cross country program.

Entry deadline: Entries will be accepted on the morning of the race with no late fee.  However, to assure receipt of a T-shirt, your entry must be post-marked by no later than June 1, 2009. 

Check in: At the Boundary County Fairgrounds parking lot from 7:30 AM to 8:45 AM.

Aid Stations: At the finish line and near the 1 and 2 mile points for 5K runners and near the 1, 2, 4, and 5 mile points for 10K runners.

Awards: Trophies will be presented to overall male and female winners in each race.  Ribbons will be given to the top 3 finishers in the following male and female age groups.

1-11 years, 12-15 years, 16-19 years, 20-29 years, 30-39 years,

40-49 years, 50-59 years, 60-69 years, 70 years +

Door prizes: There will be drawings for door prizes during the awards ceremony.  The grand prize is a $100 gift certificate for the purchase of a new pair of running shoes. 

Shirts: Each pre-registered race finisher will receive an embroidered T-shirt unless the no-shirt option was chosen.  Extra shirts will be available on race day.  However, to assure the availability of your size, your entry form must be received by June 1, 2009.
