I.            Announcements

Tony Rohrwasser called the meeting to order at 0804. Several members attended the Canadian Emergency Committee. A lot of valuable information was gathered.

Tony handed out sample evacuation forms, and Dave Kramer explained the different ribbon colors to use in case of an evacuation.

II.         Discussion

Tish Lagerwey from CBP. went over the table-top exercise, explaining the process that and it was successful.

Danielle Barton from the American Red Cross joined us today. Our area is in great need of volunteer’s esp. shelters after house fires. She said ideally 5 volunteers are needed here and had information about classes needed.

 

 

III.      Roundtable

Dave Kramer reminded people about NIMS certification.

Rich Stephens explained more about the E-911. There will be various meetings held before then to explain things more in depth. 

Cynthia Taggart from Panhandle Health: It’s time for Flu Shots

Regina Sherman from BVA: there will be a Basic EMT class, January start date.

Bob Graham: went over a problem with charges from the state over Hazardous Material Removal.

Jay Baker: FEMA has approved Mitigation Project Funding and Boundary County may be eligible for some of this money.
