Re: LEPC Agenda and Minutes for April 6, 2006 Meeting at 8:00 AM
The meeting of the LEPC was called to order on April 6, 2006 at 0800 hours with a larger than normal attendance.

Enhanced 911 funding (South Boundary – TonyRohrwasser)
South Boundary Fire Chief Tony Rohrwasser requested members consider supporting a $1 per month phone tax to fund Enhanced 911 (E911). Tony state had had met with Boundary County commissioners and Gary Falcon, Boundary County GIS employee, about the county options. There was general discussion about how the E911 function and general information was explained.

A motion was made by to send a letter to the county commissioners supporting the $1 per phone tax to be placed on the ballot for citizens to decide by a vote and then second. A vote was taken and was unanimous.

On Tuesday, April 11, 2006 Boundary County Commissioner Ron Smith called regarding E911. I was requested to find a committee to look over all the county’s options before moving forward.

Workers Compensation Coverage for County Emergency Volunteers (Update Bob Graham) 
Handouts were distributed regarding the subject of workers compensation. Bob Graham addressed the issue and that if the EM asked anyone to assist in an incident then either the State or Boundary County will cover all workers compensation.

Road Closure for CR 2 at Deep Creek just north of Deep Creel Inn and fire station (Dean Satchwell)
Sewell Engineering contacted Dean Satchwell for a list of people that would be affected when Deep Creek Loop Road (CR 2) bridge is closed due to construction this summer. This will affect emergency response along with local traffic. Tony Rohrwasser, South Boundary Fire Chief advised they had not received any requests for information, but had heard of the planned closure and called Sewell Engineering. A letter will be sent to Sewell requesting contact regarding notification.

All Hazard Mitigation Plan (Update Dean Satchwell)
Dean gave members an update on the All Hazard Mitigation Plan, and that he will be working with IFM and the State to get it finalized.

Joint Exercise of Power Agreement Government Entity (Handouts Dean Satchwell)
Dean provided a handout to government entities for a joint exercise of power to non-government. All attorneys have given their okay and they just need to have it completed. Dean will work with everyone to explain any questions and complete the project.

Budget Update (Bob Graham) 
Bob Graham gave budget handouts to those in attendance. Bob advised that no purchases should be made without first receiving approval. Any updated prices should be given to Bob.

Dean advised that the Boundary County web site is up and running and to give it a try.

New Business
Gary Falcon advised the county road names are in effect and the county will be putting up new name signs soon. All the names are listed on the county website. Gary is working on updated maps.

New Meeting date, Time and Location..
The second Wednesday will be the new meeting date each month, at 0800 hrs, in the Bonners Ferry Fire Hall.
