Declaration of candidacy petitions are now available at the Boundary County Clerk's Office, Room 22, Boundary County Courthouse. The first day for filing declarations is Monday, February 27. The last day is Friday, March 9. The last day for declaration to be by a write-in candidate is March 30 for the May 15 primary election. Local offices to be decided during the 2012 election cycle are Boundary County Commissioner, Districts 1 and 3, Sheriff, Prosecutor, and Republican and Democrat precinct committee positions in the BF/Kootenai, Copeland, Moyie Springs, Naples, North Bonners Ferry and Valley View Precincts.
