Personal Property Declarations

March 15 is the deadline for filing annual personal property declarations, which were mailed earlier this year. Personal property includes furniture, fixtures, equipment, unlicensed vehicles and other items used to generate income. If you have personal property but did not receive a declaration by mail, please contact the Assessors Office at (208) 267-3301.

March 15 is also the deadline for property owners who have land currently being used for agricultural purposes to apply to an agricultural designation. Such designated land is typically appraised at a value lower than non-designated "other rural land" and can result in substantial savings on property taxes. If you previously applied for this designation, you need not reapply unless the use or ownership of the land changes.
