2008 Boundary County Fair

Display Booth Application

 

The Boundary County Fair Board is accepting display booth applications for the 2008 Fair. Limited space is available and requests for booths will be on a "first paid first reserved basis," after the 2006 renters have confirmed or declined renewal.  The 2008 fair theme is “A Tradition We Treasure.”

REGISTRATION:

Please complete the application (see attachment) and return it to the Fair Office with payment by June 23, 2008.  Fees are waived for the following organizations, but they must still submit an application to reserve a booth (one booth maximum): Public Schools, 4‑H, Public Health, Fire and Law Enforcement Agencies. Fees will be charged to all organizations for game booths.

 

Make checks payable to Boundary County Fair Board. If you wish to cancel your reservation you may call (208-267-7041) or write before July 18, 2007, if not, fees will be forfeited.

 

SETUP AND TAKE-DOWN TIMES:

All booths must be set up by the end of the scheduled time, or space and fee will be forfeited.

 

Setup for the Exhibit Hall is Tuesday, August 12, 2008 from 9:00 AM, to 7:00 PM. 

 

Setup for the Pavilion (slab) is Tuesday, August 12, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. A chain link fence that is locked at night secures the Pavilion.

 

Setup for outside ground space is Tuesday, August 12, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Wed. 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Outside Ground space is available; actual locations as approved by the Fair Organizer.

 

Wednesday, August 13, 2008 until after Opening Ceremony, the Exhibit and Memorial Hall will be closed for judging.

 

Takedown is on closing day, Sunday, August 17, 2008, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. All food booths must remain set up until 9:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2007. Take down may be allowed Saturday after 9:00 PM, if a written request is submitted.  If you take down before that time you will forfeit your privilege for a booth in 2009.

 

DISPLAY BOOTH CONTEST:

If you wish to participate in the Display Booths Contest you must incorporate the Fair Theme "A Tradition We Treasure.”  One ribbon will be awarded to the Best Commercial Booth. Non-commercial Booths will be judged separately. School displays are not judged at their request.

 

GAME BOOTHS ARE NOT TO HAVE AS PRIZES: guns (cap, dart, spud and water), noise- makers, hair paint and water balloons.  This is done in consideration of the livestock.

Booths are reserved in the order they are paid.  Your fee must reach the Fair Office by June 23, 2008.  Any cancellation after July 19, 2007 will forfeit the fee.  Available booths go fast, so plan accordingly.  Do not use this application for a food booth – there is a different application for selling food or beverages.

All Fair Rules & Regulations in the 2008 Fair Book must be followed.  The Fair Board has the right to reject any product, item, or material to be sold or given away during the Fair if it is deemed to be detrimental to the Fair.  Compliance with this is mandatory.  Failure to remove rejected items will result in your being asked to leave the premises and forfeit all fees.
